David Spade prepares for his next scene.

In the bold tradition of "A Night at the Roxbury," "The Ladies Man," "John Goodman Host Monologue," "It's Pat!," "Lorne Michaels Drinks Wine," "Coneheads," and "The Pianist," SNL alum/wise apple extraordinaire David Spade brings us "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star." Based on his Pullitzer Prize and Kennedy Center award winning sketch comedy character, Dickie Roberts (take a hike, Joe Dirt!), the film follows the (hilarious!) trials and tribulations of a former child actor (much like Danny Pintauro) who now looks like David Spade. Now the question: has this movie got the funny? You bet! In fact, I heard it has TOO much funny. That's why I stayed home and watched my "Arliss" DVDs instead. Just watching the previews gave me a stomach ache from laughing so hard. (That slip 'n' slide part alone gave me severe intestinal bleeding! YOWSA!!) Perhaps I'll be able to watch it when it comes out on Beta, so I can pause it when my vomiting becomes too unbearable.
